Spots are limited. \nA little more about your instructor: \nKim Wasson Tener is a professional artist and art instructor who traces her passion for the intersection of art and history to her father. Convinced his young daughter couldn’t miss a rare opportunity to participate in an authentic 18th century archeological dig\, Kim’s father\, a renowned historian\, drove his family across the U.S. in their aging Chevy Caprice station wagon dubbed “Puff the Tragic Wagon” by an 8-year-old Kim. The effort was worth the 2\,000-mile drive as the magic of the dig captivated Kim. From the moment she carefully lifted a small piece of cracked blue and white pottery from the earth\, the aspiring young artist knew that uncovering secrets from the past would become a big part of her artistic future. \n\n \nKim’s future wasn’t just filled with digs and history books\, however. Watercolors\, pencils\, ink\, and anything to do with art called her name. Into the wee hours of the morning\, she could be found drawing\, painting\, studying\, creating. \n \nToday you will find Kim in her small\, east Texas hometown sharing the joys of art and history with her community through her business\, Bookmark Arts. DESCRIPTION:Join Plants of Texas and Daniel Lennon for our hands-on hive inspection class. \nDaniel Lennon will lead this class and will cover how to properly inspect your hive in real time plus other things to look for during a hive inspection. This class will be held at Plants of Texas in Flint. This class is perfect for all levels of back-yard beekeeping experience.  \nProper PPE (full bee suits\, gloves\, and boots (or other closed toe shoes) are required for this class for your safety as we will be hands-on with the hives. In addition\, we will ask you to sign a waiver freeing Plants of Texas and Flint Farm and Apiary from any incident that could occur while on-site resulting from a bee sting or other injury during the hive inspection. You will not be allowed to attend this class without PPE. PPE for this class is mandatory.  \nYou can click the button titled “Reserve Now” to purchase your ticket to this event. No tickets will be mailed out. You simply show up to the event. Tickets must be purchased in advance to reserve your spot. Spots are limited.

DESCRIPTION:Welcome to Intermediate Beekeeping! We will continue to build upon the topics we learned in the Beginner Beekeeping class. One step closer to you feeling confident in owning your own hive!  \nDaniel Lennon with Flint Farm & Apiary will be conducting this class. This class will cover hive inspections\, recognizing brood patterns\, harvesting honey\, and bee behavior. You will also have the opportunity to purchase bees\, hives\, and beekeeping accessories (suits\, gloves\, smokers\, etc.) at this class (to be picked up at a later date). Plants of Texas is excited to make all your bee dreams come true in one stop. \nThis class will be the bee’s knees! The class fee is $25. This class will be held at the NEW Plants of Texas location. This class will NOT be held at the tent. \nThe class will take place in the smaller building (receiving dock) behind the main/large building you see from the road. Please park in the front of the main building and follow the sidewalk around to the back. You will see a smaller metal building in the back of the property.
