This class is perfect for all levels of back-yard beekeeping experience.\nProper PPE (full bee suits\, gloves\, and boots (or other closed toe shoes) are required for this class for your safety as we will be hands-on with the hives. In addition\, we will ask you to sign a waiver freeing Plants of Texas from any incident that could occur while on-site resulting from a bee sting or other injury during the hive inspection. You will not be allowed to attend this class without PPE. PPE for this class is mandatory.

DESCRIPTION:Welcome to Intermediate Beekeeping! In this class\, we’ll build on the skills and knowledge you gained in the Beginner Beekeeping class\, bringing you one step closer to confidently managing your own hive. \nWe’ll cover topics such as hive inspections\, identifying brood patterns\, harvesting honey\, understanding bee behavior\, recognizing diseases\, expanding your apiary\, and effective pest control. You’ll also have the chance to purchase bees\, hives\, and essential beekeeping gear (suits\, gloves\, smokers\, and more). Plants of Texas is thrilled to help you achieve all your beekeeping goals in one convenient stop. \nThis class will be the bee’s knees! The class fee is $40. This class will be held at the NEW Plants of Texas location in Flint. This class will NOT be held at the tent. \nThe class will take place in the smaller building (receiving dock) behind the main/large building you see from the road. Please park in the front of the main building and follow the sidewalk around to the back. You will see a smaller metal building in the back of the property. Head on in and take a seat! \nYou can click the button titled “Reserve Now” to purchase your ticket to this event. No tickets will be mailed out. You simply show up to the event. Tickets must be purchased in advance to reserve your spot. Spots are limited.
