This class is perfect for all levels of back-yard beekeeping experience.\n\nProper protective equipment (full bee suits\, gloves\, and boots (or other closed toe shoes) are required for this class for your safety as we will be hands-on with the hives.\n\nIn addition\, we will ask you to sign a waiver freeing Plants of Texas from any incident that could occur while on-site resulting from a bee sting or other injury during the hive inspection.\n\nYou will not be allowed to attend this class without proper protective equipment. PPE for this class is mandatory.

This class will cover what crape myrtle scale is\, how to identify it\, its origins\, and how long it has been present in the U.S. You’ll also learn the proper methods and timing for treating scale\, as well as how to remove black mold from the trees.
