Welcome to Intermediate Beekeeping! In this class, we’ll build on the skills and knowledge you gained in the Beginner Beekeeping class, bringing you one step closer to confidently managing your own hive.

We’ll cover topics such as hive inspections, identifying brood patterns, harvesting honey, understanding bee behavior, recognizing diseases, expanding your apiary, and effective pest control. You’ll also have the chance to purchase bees, hives, and essential beekeeping gear (suits, gloves, smokers, and more). Plants of Texas is thrilled to help you achieve all your beekeeping goals in one convenient stop.

This class will be the bee’s knees! The class fee is $40. This class will be held at the NEW Plants of Texas location in Flint. This class will NOT be held at the tent.

The class will take place in the smaller building (receiving dock) behind the main/large building you see from the road. Please park in the front of the main building and follow the sidewalk around to the back. You will see a smaller metal building in the back of the property. Head on in and take a seat!
