Join us to learn everything you need to know about vegetable gardening! In this class, we’ll cover the best locations for your garden, soil preparation, the ideal planting times for different vegetables, crop rotation techniques to optimize space, container gardening, raised beds, and how to manage common pests. We’ll also share tips for growing popular herbs and ways to extend your garden's growing season. Grow fresh produce to feed your family—or even your whole neighborhood! Brad Schiwitz is our guest speaker for this class. Come with plenty of questions! The class fee is $30. This class will be held at the NEW Plants of Texas location in Flint. This class will NOT be held at the tent. The class will take place in the smaller building (receiving dock) behind the main/large building you see from the road. Please park in the front of the main building and follow the sidewalk around to the back. You will see a smaller metal building in the back of the property. Hand-painted Delftware Workshop

Bring a friend and join professional artist and illustrator Kim Wasson Tener of Bookmark Arts as you escape into the delightful world of Delft, Netherlands. With the help of your instructor and gorgeous patterns to inspire, you will design your own gorgeous serving plate. While painting and sampling traditional Dutch treats, enjoy fascinating stories of how this iconic blue and white became beloved world-wide. At the end of this two hour workshop, you will leave your finished piece to have it's final glaze and firing.  We will send you a text when your piece is ready for pick-up. 2 hour workshop, 9-11am $75 includes personal instruction, supplies, gorgeous scalloped-edge serving plate, and delicious Dutch treats for sampling.
