Led by Mark Chamblee from Vital Earth, this class will draw on Mark’s decades of expertise in soil, mulch, fertilizers, and his experience as a grower and nursery supplier. He’ll share valuable insights on how to keep your plants thriving, from the best times to prune and fertilize, to selecting the right plants for specific soil types. Bring your questions, and get ready to learn practical tips for nurturing your garden!

Bring a friend and join professional artist and illustrator Kim Wasson Tener of Bookmark Arts as you escape into the delightful world of Delft, Netherlands. With the help of your instructor and gorgeous patterns to inspire, you will design your own gorgeous serving plate. While painting and sampling traditional Dutch treats, enjoy fascinating stories of how this iconic blue and white became beloved world-wide. At the end of this two hour workshop, you will leave your finished piece to have it's final glaze and firing.  We will send you a text when your piece is ready for pick-up. 2 hour workshop, 9-11am $75 includes personal instruction, supplies, gorgeous scalloped-edge serving plate, and delicious Dutch treats for sampling.

Bring a friend and join professional artist and illustrator Kim Wasson Tener of Bookmark Arts as she shares the relaxing art of copper embossing. With the help of your instructor and gorgeous floral patterns to follow, you will craft a custom roof for your locally made birdhouse. 2 hour workshop, 9-11am $75 includes personal instruction, supplies, and optional material & instructions for adding copper patina at home (simple, but takes 24 hours to dry).

Join Plants of Texas for our hands-on hive inspection class. In this class, you will learn how to properly inspect your hive in real time plus other things to look for during a hive inspection. This class will be held at Plants of Texas in Flint. This class is perfect for all levels of back-yard beekeeping experience. Proper protective equipment (full bee suits, gloves, and boots (or other closed toe shoes) are required for this class for your safety as we will be hands-on with the hives. In addition, we will ask you to sign a waiver freeing Plants of Texas from any incident that could occur while on-site resulting from a bee sting or other injury during the hive inspection. You will not be allowed to attend this class without proper protective equipment. PPE for this class is mandatory.
