Join Plants of Texas for our hands-on hive inspection class. In this class, you will learn how to properly inspect your hive in real time plus other things to look for during a hive inspection. This class will be held at Plants of Texas in Flint. This class is perfect for all levels of back-yard beekeeping experience. Proper PPE (full bee suits, gloves, and boots (or other closed toe shoes) are required for this class for your safety as we will be hands-on with the hives. In addition, we will ask you to sign a waiver freeing Plants of Texas from any incident that could occur while on-site resulting from a bee sting or other injury during the hive inspection. You will not be allowed to attend this class without PPE. PPE for this class is mandatory.

Bring a friend and join professional artist and illustrator Kim Wasson Tener of Bookmark Arts as she shares the joy of watercolor painting following her proven step-by-step process. With the help of your instructor and gorgeous natural pigments, you will paint your own country landscape on a beautiful 18” x 24” watercolor canvas. ****************************** April 27th, 2024 2-hour workshop, 9-11am $55 includes personal instruction, supplies, and a quality 18” x 24” canvas.

Bring a friend and join professional artist and illustrator Kim Wasson Tener of Bookmark Arts as she shares the relaxing art of copper embossing. With the help of your instructor and gorgeous floral patterns to follow, you will craft a custom roof for your locally made birdhouse. ****************************** May 4th, 2024 2-hour workshop, 9-11am $75 includes personal instruction, supplies, and optional material & instructions for adding copper patina at home (simple, but takes 24 hours to dry).
