Join Plants of Texas and Daniel Lennon for our hands-on hive inspection class. Daniel Lennon will lead this class and will cover how to properly inspect your hive in real time plus other things to look for during a hive inspection. This class will be held at Plants of Texas in Flint. This class is perfect for all levels of back-yard beekeeping experience. Proper PPE (full bee suits, gloves, and boots (or other closed toe shoes) are required for this class for your safety as we will be hands-on with the hives. In addition, we will ask you to sign a waiver freeing Plants of Texas and Flint Farm and Apiary from any incident that could occur while on-site resulting from a bee sting or other injury during the hive inspection. You will not be allowed to attend this class without PPE. PPE for this class is mandatory. You can click the button titled "Reserve Now" to purchase your ticket to this event. No tickets will be mailed out. You simply show up to the event. Tickets must be purchased in advance to reserve your spot. Spots are limited.

Join one of our Plants of Texas experts for a FREE informative discussion about ways to revive your garden after the summer heat and damage and why Fall is the time to plant trees and other plants, how to properly plant a tree, how to properly water, and ways to winterize your landscape for the cooler weather ahead. This is a free event and most of this class will be taught indoors in the classroom. We will discuss how to prepare for the Fall planting season ahead.

Join Plants of Texas and You Crack Me Up Mosaics for a mosaic class. You will get to create a mosaic steppingstone or birdbath topper during this class. Steppingstone shapes available to choose from are round, square, daisy, Texas, cross, turtle or heart. All instructions and materials are included in this 3-hour class for a completed take home piece of garden art. Feel free to bring any baubles or trinkets from home to add to your mosaic creation. This class is capped at 12 guests, so don't delay and sign up today. Homemade cookies are provided.

Join us for our Fall Family FUN Day the first Saturday of October! We will have pony rides, a petting zoo, and face painting for kids from the hours 11 am - 1 pm. In addition, Ricky's Tacoz will be at our Flint location during these same hours for the lunch rush. This event will be at our Flint location only; however, our Fall plant SALES will be valid at both Tyler and Flint stores for October 7th and October 8th. This is a FREE event (minus the tacos) for the community to show our appreciation for your business and support! Come on out for lots of FALL fun!!

Join Plants of Texas for an informative class on preparing your hive(s) for the winter months ahead. This class will cover everything you need to know to prepare your hives for the first frost of the year and beyond. We will discuss different resources needed for your bees to survive winter. In addition, when, why, and what to feed the bees if needed, and lastly identifying pests in the hive and learning what to do about them during the winter months. What preparation you do now will determine the success of the hive starting in February and March for the Spring season and new year ahead. This class will be held at the NEW Plants of Texas location. This class will NOT be held at the tent. The class will take place in the smaller building (receiving dock) behind the main/large building you see from the road.
