Join Plants of Texas and You Crack Me Up Mosaics for a mosaic class. You will get to create a mosaic steppingstone or birdbath topper during this class. Steppingstone shapes available to choose from are round, square, daisy, Texas, cross, turtle or heart. All instructions and materials are included in this 3-hour class for a completed take home piece of garden art. Feel free to bring any baubles or trinkets from home to add to your mosaic creation. This class is capped at 12 guests, so don't delay and sign up today. Homemade cookies are provided.

Join us for our Fall Family FUN Day the first Saturday of October! We will have pony rides, a petting zoo, and face painting for kids from the hours 11 am - 1 pm. In addition, Ricky's Tacoz will be at our Flint location during these same hours for the lunch rush. This event will be at our Flint location only; however, our Fall plant SALES will be valid at both Tyler and Flint stores for October 7th and October 8th. This is a FREE event (minus the tacos) for the community to show our appreciation for your business and support! Come on out for lots of FALL fun!!

Join Plants of Texas for an informative class on preparing your hive(s) for the winter months ahead. This class will cover everything you need to know to prepare your hives for the first frost of the year and beyond. We will discuss different resources needed for your bees to survive winter. In addition, when, why, and what to feed the bees if needed, and lastly identifying pests in the hive and learning what to do about them during the winter months. What preparation you do now will determine the success of the hive starting in February and March for the Spring season and new year ahead. This class will be held at the NEW Plants of Texas location. This class will NOT be held at the tent. Join Plants of Texas for an informative class on beginner beekeeping. This class will cover beginner beekeeper basic knowledge and much more. This class will cover PPE and safety, the hive components and tools needed, what's inside a hive, comb, propolis, worker bees, drones, queens and much more. You will also have the opportunity to purchase a nuc and beebox at this class (to be picked up at a later date). Plants of Texas is excited to make all your bee dreams come true in one stop. We love our dogs around here. Dress up your favorite pup & bring them to Plants of Texas (Flint location only) for the first annual Howl-O-Ween contest. You are free to dress up alongside your K-9, but just know we will be judging the contest based only on the pup's costume. Please make sure your dog stays on a leash and be ready to walk the dog-walk at 1pm sharp. The entry fee is $5 per dog and 100% of the proceeds will go to the SPCA of East Texas. The grand prize winner will receive a Plants of Texas gift certificate. Come have a Howley good time with us for this fun community event!

This class will cover hive inspections, recognizing brood patterns, harvesting honey, bee behavior, diseases, how to grow your apiary, and pest control.
