Ferment Like You Mean It! (Food Fermentation How-to Class)
Plants of Texas 17470 FM 2493, FlintBeginners can open the lid on a magical world of kimchi, sauerkraut, sour dough, water kefir, and brine fermented vegetables. Perhaps you want to jump into fermented beverages like kombucha or learn to preserve the garden harvest without canning. You'll learn to preserve the natural way- focusing on fermenting and discover how live foods come to life! You will leave class with your own SCOBY and a better understanding of the process of vegetable fermentations including salsa and sauerkraut. Come to learn the healing benefits of fermentation. This class will be taught by Ruth Baugh from Baugh's Market and Event Venue. The class fee is $25. This class will be held at the NEW Plants of Texas location. This class will NOT be held at the tent. The class will take place in the smaller building (receiving dock) behind the main/large building you see from the road.
