Join Plants of Texas for a casual talk about how to create privacy and screens in your landscape with plants. In the instance you have an unsightly neighbor, or you want to create your own privacy and an oasis in your yard with plants instead of a wooden fence, come learn about the best screening plants to choose from. This class is free of charge and will last 30 - 45 minutes or while questions last. We will show you our favorite options that provide ample screening and shade at a variety of price points and aesthetics. Screening plants is a common question we are asked and we would love to inform you on the many options. The class fee is FREE. This class will be held at the NEW Plants of Texas location in Flint. This class will NOT be held at the tent. The class will take place in the smaller building (receiving dock) behind the main/large building you see from the road. Join Plants of Texas for our hands-on hive inspection class. In this class, you will learn how to properly inspect your hive in real time plus other things to look for during a hive inspection. This class will be held at Plants of Texas in Flint. This class is perfect for all levels of back-yard beekeeping experience. Proper PPE (full bee suits, gloves, and boots (or other closed toe shoes) are required for this class for your safety as we will be hands-on with the hives. In addition, we will ask you to sign a waiver freeing Plants of Texas from any incident that could occur while on-site resulting from a bee sting or other injury during the hive inspection. You will not be allowed to attend this class without PPE. PPE for this class is mandatory.

Bring a friend and join professional artist and illustrator Kim Wasson Tener of Bookmark Arts as she shares the joy of watercolor painting following her proven step-by-step process.
