Join Plants of Texas for an informative class on preparing your hive(s) for the winter months ahead. This class will cover everything you need to know to prepare your hives for the first frost of the year and beyond. We will discuss different resources needed for your bees to survive winter. In addition, when, why, and what to feed the bees if needed, and lastly identifying pests in the hive and learning what to do about them during the winter months. What preparation you do now will determine the success of the hive starting in February and March for the Spring season and new year ahead. Join us for our Fall Family FUN Day the first Saturday of October! We will have an inflatable obstacle course, sports games, and a bounce house for kids set up from the hours 10 am - 1 pm.
