Welcome to Advanced Intermediate Beekeeping! We will continue to build upon the topics we learned in the Beginner Beekeeping class. One step closer to you feeling confident in owning your own hive! This class will cover hive inspections, recognizing brood patterns, harvesting honey, bee behavior, diseases, how to grow your apiary, and pest control. You will also have the opportunity to purchase bees, hives, and beekeeping accessories (suits, gloves, smokers, etc.). Plants of Texas is excited to make all your bee dreams come true in one stop. This class will be the bee’s knees! The class fee is $30. This class will be held at the NEW Plants of Texas location in Flint. This class will NOT be held at the tent. The class will take place in the smaller building (receiving dock) behind the main/large building you see from the road. Come learn all there is to know about vegetable gardening. In this class we will talk about where to locate your vegetable garden, soil preparation, when to plant and start different vegetable types, rotating crops to maximize your space, container gardening, raised beds, common pests & treatment.
