Azalea Encore© ‘Chiffon’

The Encore series of azaleas is ideal for gardeners who love that springtime azalea show, but long for the blooming to continue into the season. This series offers a strong spring bloom with lighter bloom into the summer and fall, with Encore Autumn Chiffon producing a stronger summertime bloom than most. Bicolor flowers have pale pink to white petals with deeper pink splotches at the throat, and dark green leaves that provide structure all year long. Plant it in full sun for the best bloom, with lighter repeat blooming when planted in shadier conditions. Its dwarf size, heat tolerance, and cold hardiness make it one of the best all-around choices for azalea lovers everywhere. Tend to its needs of acidic, well-drained soil, late winter/early spring fertilizing, and regular watering and you’ll be treated to a year’s worth of spectacular garden color and form!
