Winterizing Your Hive

This class will cover everything you need to know to prepare your hives for the first frost of the year and beyond. We will discuss different resources needed for your bees to survive winter. In addition, when, why, and what to feed the bees if needed, and lastly identifying pests in the hive and learning what to do about them during the winter months. What preparation you do now will determine the success of the hive starting in February and March for the Spring season and new year ahead. This class will be held at the NEW Plants of Texas location. This class will NOT be held at the tent. The class will take place in the smaller building (receiving dock) behind the main/large building you see from the road. Please drive around to the back of the main building by entering from the road, head straight, driving past the small, covered pavilion on your right.
